Recently stayed here for a family wedding in the area. Myself and my partner checked in to a nice room, very spacious, the room did have 2 beds although a standard double was booked. We walked in only to discover 2 big holes in the wall. Since we were attending a wedding, we did not have time to bring it to the attention of staff and we knew we would not be in the room for long. Upon checkout I approached a lady on the Reception desk who was at the time on the phone when I approached, I was happy to wait while she finished the call to speak to her and bring the room situation to her attention, she proceeded to speak on the phone and grab the key cards out of my hand, she then gave me the gesture of a thumbs up to tell me I’m assuming all is ok and we’ve been checked out. I decided to stand there and wait to speak to her rather than walk away. This is terrible customer service, you would expect her to finish the call and then proceed to check us out and ask us how our stay was. When I did bring it to her attention, she seemed dismissive regarding the whole situation and advised I should have brought it to their attention yesterday to which I advised I was at a wedding. The hotel was not full this night as a relative had booked last minute. As someone who has previously worked in hospitality, this room should not have been sold. For the price paid the room was not up to standard and terrible customer service from the Receptionist.
